For some reason i cannot get any DOS sessions to open under OS/2. The problem started thus: after downloading i fired up X-Wing (great DOS game which uses joystick and SB sound), the game loaded but with a horrible grating noise coming out of the sound card (PAS16). I thought that this meant that there was either an IRQ or DMA conflict between the modem and the PAS card, so changed the settings. After various lock-ups i gave up and put the settings back to the originals. Now i cannot open a DOS session without the machine hanging! (Doesn't make sense i know) If i try to open either the X-Wing or DOS full screen objects, the machine hangs, but i can still move the mouse pointer around (can click on anything 'though). The SHELL command points to the MDOS\COMMAND.COM in CONFIG.SYS and for X-Wing the DOS setting points to 4dos.com. I've checked the paths. I am totally baffled by this. Can anyone help?
