Headless is a BIG factor here. I've had one offer of almost $1000 for just the SX graphics VSIMM and the 128 MB of RAM. I think your $800 is way off the mark... The cheapest second hand dealers in the USA that I know of list the items for the following prices: SS20 base unit $470 US (www.memoryx.com) 2 x SM50 CPU's $250 US (www.sunvalleytech.com) 128 MB RAM (4x32) $324 US (www.memoryx.com) T5 kbd & o-mouse $55 US (www.memoryx.com) This gives a total of $1100 US and that *DOESNT* include the SX graphics VSIMM. And if you bought that system from the USA, you would need to add another 26% sales taxes and import duties, bringing the total australian dollar cost to about $2200. Seems like my $2000 original estimate was pretty close... and the offers I've been receiving seem to agree. I'm not trying to rip anyone off here, just trying to sell some systems that have been replaced during our recent round of upgrades. JASON PATTERSON jason@pattosoft.com.au http://www.pattosoft.com.au/jason Imagine that CRAY decides to make a personal computer. It contains 16 Alpha based processors executing in parallel, has 800 megabytes of RAM, 9 Gigabytes of disk storage, a resolution of 4096 x 4096 pixels, does 24bit 3D graphics in realtime, relies entirely on voice recognition for input, fits in your shirt pocket and costs $300. What is the first question the computer community asks? "Is it DOS compatible?"
