Ok,, I've deleted all the irrelevant parts.. The size of the /tmp
directory suggests this is a place to check. /tmp has a habit of filling
up with undeleted temporary files, and very quickly can clog up a
filesystem if it's not removed from the root directory.
Also, if you have /var existing as a real sub-directory here, the syslog
files in /var/log, and some of the files in /var/adm, can grow huge and
consume lots of space. Do you have /var mounted as a seperate partition?
Sun's default install process does not seperate /var out onto a seperate
partition, so it's easy to be caught by this.
Assuming /var is seperate, you can get around the /tmp problem (if that's
the cause) by creating /var/tmp, and using a symlink from /tmp to
/var/tmp. I do this on all of my machines at home becasue I've had /tmp
fill up my root filesystem(s) once too often! 8-)
Hopefully this will give you a few pointers...
Regards,
Craig.
