I'm glad you think this policy is silly. I think this policy is silly.
Perhaps You'd like to tell my immediate bosses this policy is silly.
I can promise you they will tell you to piss off, in appropriately
worded queens english.
Meantime, I will do as I am directed. I have been directed to NOT
formalize the brisnet status until they are approved for local
connection by my director. Unless Geoff and Peter pay my salery, I'm
not going to march to their drumbeat, am I?
My own feelings are well known: basic network connection should be
extended to anybody who wants it. The REAL value of AARN/Internet is
the people who use it, and not the cables we pay for. Alas, pragmatists
in grey suits dictate other aims and goals, and pay my wages to boot.
