A better suggestion still: ftp (or fetchfile?) this from
	yallara.cs.rmit.oz.au:pub/tex/latex-style/headerfooter.sty
	ccadfa.cc.adfa.oz.au:pub/tex/latex-style/headerfooter.sty

These two machines have a lot of TeX stuff, if you can't be bothered
to use archie (telnet archie.au if you don't have xarchie or archie)
it is worth looking at yallara and ccadfa to figure out where XXX is.
