Has anyone managed to get a \topmatter construction that produces something
like this:
Author1
affiliation of author1
Author2
affiliation of author2
by just using the \author ...\endauthor and \affil ... \endaffil
control sequences of amstex 2.1? Here Authors names come out in
small caps and affiliations in roman. Amstex seems to ignore the first
\affil if placed inside a \author construct. I suppose I could
add the affiliation "by hand", but the given macros of amstex should
be able to do what I want!
Thanks!
