DVIps (OS/2) : no memory message

Hello,

some days ago i got dvips for os2. 
After installing it i tried to convert some simple 
dvi-files, but always the mesage:
"dvips: !no memory" occured.
There is no Postscript printer connected to my machine,
but i think it should run without one.

Dvips was installed with emtex, and i used the -o option
to direct the output to a file. I used the predifined config.ps 
settings.

Any hints are appreciated
