G'day latexers, I have a bit of a problem with figures not appearing where I would like them. It seems to me that the optional [h] etc commands, don't have my manual handy, aren't all they are cracked up to be. I realise there has to be some give in the system but once you have a hard copy of the article I think you should be able to tell the document exactly where you want the figures and tables rather than having them all pushed to the back of the document. I've tried most of the options in the manual without the desired level of success and was wondering whether anyone else had faced this problem and managed to win. Any help would be appreciated.
