This is the same Joe Abernathy that a couple of years ago wrote an article
in the Houston Chronicle with a title like (sorry I can't remember it
exactly) "Your tax dollars are being used to distribute computer porn".

Mr. Abernathy was writing about Usenet. The article was sensationalist in
the extreme. To say the facts were distorted would be a massive
understatement. When people wrote to him trying to get corrections printed,
Mr. Abernathy used every sleazy trick in the book to make them look like
idiots, distorting their words and taking them out of context.

I am extremely surprised that Mr. Abernathy appears to be on the right
side of this issue. I am also surprised that he has any credibility left.
