we are experiencing problems capturing video from betacam to AVID Media
Suite Pro on SGI running Irix 5.3 and Cosmo Compress 1.1.1, we have the
analogue Cosmo-Patchbay.
The capture produces �drop for field� and loses synchronizity of picture
and sound.
The system has been running for some years, now neither the last known
working backup nor a build up from scratch reveals any result.
The capture will only drop fields when capturing from betacam, no errors
occurs by capturing from a live-source, S-VHS or other sources connected
to FBAS or YUV. Different betacams were tried.

Is there any known solution to this problem ?

Is there an upgrade to to AVID Media Suite Pro for Irix 6.2 and may it
solve the problem ?
