Avid's running a promotion on their mcxpress systems and I lack the
knowledge/insight to know if the perk'ed offering are indeed nice
"carrots" that merit the $6,500 savings price tag Avid's characterizing.
Mac base models sold before 12/15 will include MCXpress Effects, AVR 75
Image Quality (200KB-3:1), Elastic Reality, & ProTools. ( I think the
Mac Pro model will get AVR 77 tossed in the deal).

Any clues/insights/impressions of these offered perks would be
appreciated. Reason I ask is I might be tempted to bump up an intended
purchase date....which would require me some time to orchestrate.

Also...any comments on the quality of AVIDs Broadcast Video Board &
Advanced JPEG Compression board (that comes with the Mcxpress) would also
be appreciated. Yes....I know thr Targe RTX is the ideal fit....but
that's another possible "financial juggling act" which may require some
time.

Thanks and this newbie really appreciates your comments. I've a digital
audio studio and am expanding into DTV....and going through a learning
curve here.
