=95 The WWF has announced 8 of the 15 teams that will compete in the
Wrestle Mania Tag Team Battle Royal. Here they are:
1. Kama & Marc Henry
2. Faarooq & D-Lo
3. Quebecers
4. Skull & 8-ball
5. Rock 'n Roll Express
6. HeadBangers
7. Savio & Jesus ?
8. Jose & Miguel ?
Teams 7 and 8 are followed by question marks, because on Byte This
Kevin Kelly and the Mat Rat said there would be two teams of the
Boricuas. Therefore, the combination of the Boricuas may difer.
=95 The Mike Tyson segment on Raw this past Monday drew a 4.5 rating
for the quarter hour. (TBR)
=95 Injuries:
Owen Hart has a badly sprained ankle as a result of an injury
suffered at the RAW tapings on Tuesday. One WWF wrestler called it
"the worst ankle I've ever seen". Hart is expected to be ready for
Wrestlemania.
Jesse James Armstrong is suffering from a shoulder injury, and is
expected to be held out of action until Wrestlemania.
Shawn Michaels continues to be bothered by his back injury, and
reportedly suffered pain when he threw the Superkick at Steve
Austin on RAW. Michaels is expected to appear for his Wrestlemania
match, but the match is expected to be carefully booked to offset
Michaels' injury problems.
Justin Bradshaw is also out with an injury. He apparently suffered
a blown out knee at the Royal Rumble, but did not tell anyone and
continued to work on the damaged knee. He recently underwent an MRI
and the WWF is still waiting on the results. (Ryder/Byte This)

First things first, sorry for the long absence people, I was really
busy these couple of weeks. But the long wait is finally over; `coz
I'm back! This week, I thought I wouldn't concentrate on anything in
particular, but just discuss the latest happenings in the WWF world.
So naturally, this will be a considerably small installment, but you
know what they say, "Quality over quantity". So without further ado,
let's get straight to the updates!
=B7 Departure of Ahmed Johnson =97=97 This happened a week or so ago, when
Tony Norris, more popularly known as Ahmed Johnson, refused to job to
Kurrgan, and instead, left the arena! But that was not all, McMahon
was also not very happy with the way Johnson was working. You know,
the injuries and all, and just recently, he stated that Ahmed was a
mark for his own character. So it's curtains for the former WWF
Intercontinental Champion. Many fans were upset at this unexpected
move by the WWF, but you have to admit it, the wrestler was going
nowhere in the WWF. Many believe that he will sign with WCW. I
highly doubt it, but we just have to wait and see.
=B7 New Signings =97=97 Jim Ross recently reported that the WWF had signed
a whooping 7'5 Brazilian Basketball player who goes by the name of
Paul Silva. He is, however, not going to be wrestling for several
months to come, since he will be under strict training. I can't wait
to see this guy in action!
=B7 Vader getting injured on IYH was to cover for him so he could get
some needed eye surgery done. He should be back in time for Wrestle
Mania.
=B7 Word has it, that the Goon is back. I've heard that he has already
wrestled in a few dark matches, so watch out for him in the near
future.
=B7 Mike Tyson joining Degeneration X =97=97 As you already know, this
happened at this week's episode of Raw is War. Shawn Michaels said
that he wanted a piece of Tyson's @ss, and called him down to the
ring. And Tyson did exactly that. At first, it looked like a
confrontation between the two, but then, he tore Tyson's shirt,
revealing a 'Dx' T-shirt underneath! What's more, Tyson even crotch
chopped the crowd! So.. if my predictions serve me right, at Wrestle
Mania, I believe Tyson will throw a punch at Steve Austin, but Austin
will duck, and Tyson will have "accidentally" hit Michaels. The
Heartbreak will bite the dust, and a new champion will be crowned.
Even though this seems a bit too obvious, don't be surprised if you
see a rather different ending to the match.
=B7 Earthquake of a comeback =97=97 John Tenta, who used to wrestle in the
WWF as Earthquake, recently wrestled at a WWF house show, and he has
apparently lost some weight. Watch out for him in the near future as
well!
That is unfortunately all for this week, but don't worry, I will be
back next week with a special preview of Wrestlemania, plus all the
latest news and rumors. If you have any comments or suggestions, just
send them across to <ahmetr@batelco.com.bh> And once again, please

DX NEWEST MEMBER!
This past week's RAW was explosive. The return of the Taker, Austin
gets beat, Sable can really whip some ass, but definitely, the biggest
shock was TYSON JOINS DX!
Actually, this is huge to get Mike Tyson join DX, is great for the
WWF. Could you imagine the type of merchandise that the WWF could
have, with Tyson? Plus, Tyson in pro-wrestling? I have no idea how
the McMahon got Tyson to do this? Maybe cuz Tyson is broke, with no
Don King, and has another lawsuit on his hands. Some jeweler from Las
Vegas is suiting Tyson for about 7 million dollars, cuz Tyson own him
money. Not to sure on that situation. Anyways, I saw it in the local
paper last week.
So with that in mind, Tyson needs money, and well since he needs to
money, looks like Vince could be Tyson new "partner."=20
Tyson and Shawn looked like they were gonna brawl, then HBK ripped
off Tyson's shirt, and it's revealed. Tyson is the newest member of
DX. So how's this gonna work for the MAIN EVENT at WM 14? Austin vs
HBK for the title, and Tyson is gonna be the "enforcer?" Does that
mean he is the ref also? If not, then the WWF has been planning this
for some time. All I really gotta say, is it seems that HBK/DX is
RUNNING the WWF, not Vince McMahon. DX, Shawn in particular is like
Hogan in WCW. He gets the BIGGEST say, and he can control his
gimmick and angle. Hell, McMahon is letting Shawn run the show. Is
it working? Well, it would be interesting, if they could hold this
for a few more months, till Survivor Series! Tyson/HBK/HHH/Kain vs
Austin/Owen/Taker/Owen? Won't that be something? Well anyways, Tyson
is DX now, and it will be interesting to see how the WWF plays this
out, and what will happen at WM 14!

RANDOM THOUGHTS
G-Man Hollins mailto:yragcom1@gte.net
=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=

>From The Desk of The G-Man, 3-4-98:
=95 Jeff Jarett, or should I say, Double J is back. Sigh. Complete with
a new manager, Tennessee Lee, (or as the world knows, Col. Tom Parker
from WCW). Same moves, same clothes, same strut, same boring act. What
was the point of leaving the WCW, or for that matter, the WWF? Crybaby
Jeff is in the exact same position that he was 4 years ago. He hasn't
grown, his act is still stale, and people STILL don't care. That's
"S-T-I- double L."
=95 I gotta admit, having Mike Tyson join DX on RAW last night was
actually entertaining, and a REAL good move on the part of the WWF. It
adds to the tension of Stone Cold/ Shawn Michaels, and it was something
unexpected. Nice job for once. Hire the guy that hit on that angle.
=95 Can we please, Please, PLEASE get over this Marc Mero/ Tom Brandi
thing? We don't care. We REALLY don't care.
=95 OK, I'm actually buying the "tough Sable" angle. But my question
is, when are the going to find some clothes that she won't pop out
of? That all I can think about when I see her going after Luna Vachon.
She's going to pop out of that leather dress, and that's going to be
that. Vince, get your girl something to hold her in, please.
=95 Bill Goldberg needs a feud. But how? But who? The problem is that
Goldberg gets great pop, but he's got no skill, and no moves. The
challenge to Eric Bischoff now is how to get a opponent for Goldberg
that people would be interested in seeing, and that means finding a
opponent who appears to be able to challenge him. Not hard really. A
attack from behind, followed by a sneak submission a few shows later.
Yeah, that's it! Ming, where are you? Anf if you don't want to go
that route, put him up against Luger. Powerhouse against Powerhouse.
That might be one of the best draws of the year if that goes down.
=95 NOD Observations and Notes: The NOD needs a overhaul. There's really
no reason to even have it outside of Rocky and Farooq. And since
that's about to blowup into a feud, there's really no need for the
Nation to even be together. Now that Ahmed Johnson is gone, the racist
"Uncle Tom" angle that was obscene, but a little entertaining is gone.
Why the NOD? Why even have a Rock-Farooq feud over the NOD, when it's
obvious the NOD isn't doing anything? Unless...could this be the Swan
Song for Ron Simmons? Could we come down to a "loser leaves" match
that would oust Faarooq at Wrestlemania?
=95 What happened to that Barbarian-Meng fued that we saw glimses of a
few weeks ago? Meng and the Tongan Death Grip have been sitting on
the shelf as of late. Having the Barbarian beat Meng a few weeks ago
was a great predecessor to what could be a interesting series of
matches. Bring it back, already. What's the Barbarian got that's
better to do, anyway?
That's all for now. Feel free to drop me a line at mailto:yragcom1@gte.net

Q: Who was Justin Credible in WWF?
A: Aldo Montoya and P.J. Walker.
Q: Ok, could you give me an update as to who is in the NWO, and who
some of the new guys use to be?
A: Scott Hall (Razor), Kevin Nash (Diesel), Scott Norton, Buff Bagwell,
Hulk Hogan, Vincent (Virgil), Syxx (1-2-3 Kid), White Thunder (Scott
Steiner), The Deciple (Brutus Beefcake), Bryan Adams (Crush).
Q: Ok, I've been telling my friends that the Giant isn't related to
Andre, could you give me some proof to use to back this up?
A: The Giant's real name is "Paul Wright". Andre's real name is Andre
Rene Rousimoff. That's about all the proof I can offer. Andre has
one kid, a daughter.
Q: What happened to the mini's in WWF?
A: Nothing. They appear on occassion.
Q: Could you tell me where exactly WCW might be going with this Hogan/
Savage thing? What will happen to the NWO after this feud is over?
Should i just consider Savage out now or what?
A: Nothing will happen to the nWo, Savage will become WCW once again,
and the lamest feud (wcw vs nWo) will continue into the year 2000.
Q: Could you tell me when Glen Jacobs showed up in WWF as Issac?
A: He appeared after Bret Hart won the kiss my foot match against
Jerry Lawler.
Q: Is it true that Kama will become Papa Shango again soon?
A: I doubt it.
Q: Did Jeff Jarrett really leave the WWF because he was unhappy about
his gimmick or is this all part of the "Jeff Jarrett vs. Vince
McMahon" angel?
A: I believe that this was Jarrett's idea, and that he has full control
over how Double J is precieved by the fans.
Q: A month or two ago, I heard that King Kong Bundy signed with WCW,
what happened with that?
A: I believe it was a WCW Hotline report by the very unreliable Mark
Madden that started all those rumors. If Mark Madden says it, Don't
believe it.
Q: When Kane grabbed a fan from the crowd, was that scripted?
A: Yes, it was an independent wrestler that was sitting in the crowd.
Q: Is Dusty Rhodes ever going to wrestle in the WCW.
A: I sure hope not.
Q: Bryan Adams (nWo) is Crush from DOA (I am pretty sure of this). Now,
is this Crush the same Crush that was known as "Kona Crush"? And if
so, was Kona Crush the same guy that was the third of Demolition a
long time ago?
A: Yes, they are all the same person.
Q: The big tall guy that is apart of "Raven's Flock" with the net
T-shirt that he wears. Is the guy that was shown on Monday Nitro
fighting DDP is a different guy than the one that was on about 2
months ago?
A: No, That is "Hammer" used to be "Van Hammer". Also, the newsest
flock member is "Ron Reiss" who wrestled as "Ron Studd" and "The
Yeti".

Results Montreal WWF house show Friday March 6 1998
We got in around 7 pm and we could see the guys playing some football
in the back among them:Henry Godwinn, Billy Gunn, Goldust and Taka
Michinoku. It was quite sight to see Taka trying to catch a kick by
Henry Godwinn. We then got our pictures taken with Taka who was very
nice. They had a great advance with over 5000 sold and they were
hoping for 9000 and it sure looked in that ball park. The next show
here in Montreal will be Sunday August 2 1998. But they should swing
throiugh Quebec City and Ottawa in July.
- In the first and best match of the evening Taka Michinoku beat Brian
Christopher with a small package. Both wrestlers were way over with
the crowd and is proof that tv exposure makes you a star. It was a
good but unventfull match like the show itself was going to be.
Then they had Sable do an interview challenging Luna in the middle of
them announcing that Owen Hart was not going to be here. Well people
forgot about Owen and were chanting Sable's name. It was a good way to
keep the crowd with them for the rest of the night.
- D-Lo Brown and Farooq beat Miguel & Savio The Borricuas when Faarooq
pinned Savio after Kama triped him(MArke Henry was also in their corner):
those 4 were not half as over as the cruiserweights or Sable. Funny
momemnt was Savio trying to start a shave your back chant to cheer Miguel
so he would make the hot tag. Borricuas were playing face.
- Barry Windham beat Tom Brandi with a lariat in the worst match of the
night as both seemed to be going at slow motion action replay mode.
Brandi fucked up the spot where the guy hang from the top rope and swing
himself back in. He was laughing about it with the referee. Guys had
problems all night with the loose ropes.
- Marc Mero beat AFKA Goldust(wearing silver body suit and of course
woman underwear) after a rollup following Goldust hitting Luna by
mistake. After the match they had a short catfight between Luna and
Sable.
- Ken Shamrock beat Rocky Maivia by DQ after the NOD interefered. Rocky
got a lot of "Rocky sucks" chant. But Rocky has become very good and he
is way over. Shamrock left with the belt even if the referee tried to
take it away from him.
- After the break The Quebecers beat The Godwinn after Pierre delivered
a legdrop to the back of the head of Phineas who was then pinned by
Jacques. Quebecers had beautiful blue outfit, I hope they will wear it
on tv now. Quebecers were way over with the crowd even with the non push
they have been getting on tv. They will wrestle for the tag team
championship on the August 2 show. Pierre executed a spectacular top
rop hurrucarana from the top rope on Phineas. They had a very good pop
after the win.
- Cactus Jack (who got a great pop) beat Billy Gunn after a double arm
DDT on a garbage can in a no DQ anything goes match. Not great but ok
with Billy going into a table set un in the corner twice. After the
match Billy got a idiot fan thrown out for throwing a cup at him.
Before the show started they told us that people would get thrown out
if they did and that the WWF could cancelled the event with no refund
if things got out of hand.
- Kane beat Skull with a tombstone in a match that lost all heat after
Kane's entrance. After the match 8-Ball and the referee were all
chokeslam.
- In the main event Steve Austin beat Hunter Hearst Hemsley after a
stonecold stunner. Just before that Chyna got another stunner. They
had maybe the second best match of the night but they had over 15
minutes to work. They had almost worked too long as people were
expecting a finish aroun the 5 minutes mark by that point. Hunter is
over as a heel but did not took the mike or do any DX stuff. Austin is
so over it is almost impossible to describe. It is at least as good
than when Hogan was on top. Tons of Austin merchandise sold.
There was still some young kids at the show but a lot more adults than
usual and adolescents that I have ever seen at a house show. Not a bad
show but not can't miss show.
