FLAIR IS IN TROUBLE. Mean Gene Okerland discussed a
possible WCW star
retiring from the sport on Nitro. Okerland was talking
about Ric
Flair, 13 time World Heavyweight champion.
Flair has been angered over the angle in which he has
been used with
Bret Hart. Hart has been saving Flair from attacks to
get himself over
with the fans. This has angered Flair because he
believes he is being
misused.
Flair has been working day to day with the WCW, and he
is paid on a
need use basis. He is open to leave or retire at
anytime. Flair has
expressed his disappointed with the WCW, a promotion in
which he
built.
The situation leads to talks that Flair could return to
the WWF. Flair
spent a year and a half with the WWF in the early
1990s, and he has
always shown his respect for WWF owner, Vince McMahon.
McMahon and
Flair had a meeting in December when Flair originally
showed concern
towards the his direction in the WCW.
Tomorrow, the Living Legend Newsletter will look at the
situation with
Flair and how it involves Psycho Sid's status with
signing with the
WWF or WCW.
JAKE IS NOT COMING. Last night on Nitro, Raven referred
to his mentor,
the "Snake." The reference was directed for Jake
Roberts, who is the
"Snake." Roberts, though, has not signed with the WCW
and doesn't plan
to.
The Living Legend Newsletter was able to ask Roberts
what he felt
about the comments of his name, and he responded, "I
don't care if
they say my name or give me a $1000 for each time they
use it. I have
not signed with the WCW, and I have no intentions of
signing with
them."

MONDAY NIGHT

\_/\_/ /__/\__\ |_||_\
Ken Shamrock comes down to the ring for an interview.
He begins by
stating that he will win the WWF Intercontinental
title, but Rocky
Maivia and the Nation of Domination walk out to the
aisle way. Maivia
doesn't think Shamrock could beat Dilo Brown in under
two minutes.
Shamrock accepts. If Shamrock wins, he gets a tiles
shot at Maivia
later in the night.
Dilo Brown hits the ring, and the two minutes start.
Brown dominates
the match till 20 seconds is left. Shamrock hits his
belly to belly
suplex and the ankle lock. Ten seconds is left, and
Maivia hits
Shamrock with a chair. WINNER BY DQ: KEN SHAMROCK.
Tom Brandi takes on Jeff Jarrett in a singles match.
Brandi gave it
his all, but Jeff Jarrett was able to strap in the
figure-four. Brandi
submitted in pain. WINNER: JEFF JARRETT.
The Headbangers go into the ring against three men, the
Rock 'n' Roll
Express and Jim Cornette. Headbangers dominate the
match, and they
even hit a rowboat on the Express. The Headbangers hit
the stage dive
for the win. After the match, the New Midnight Express
is introduced.
They take out the Headbangers and then the Express.
WINNERS:
HEADBANGERS.
The Phoenix Sun mascot is in the ring entertaining the
crowd. Kane
comes down to tombstone the gorilla.
Billy Gunn takes on Chainsaw Charlie. Jesse James is
with Gunn, and
James commentates during the whole match. Chainsaw
Charlie gets the
win after James interfered and causes a dq. Chainsaw
Charlie then
chases James down the aisle, where James is met by
Cactus Jack. Jacks
ties James up and hangs him up from the top of the
arena. WINNER BY
DQ: CHAINSAW CHARLIE.
Vince McMahon comes down for an interview. McMahon
seems aggravated by
the fact that they are showing Austin verbalize him
from last weeks
RAW on the Titantron. He said he didn't want to break
Austin's jaw,
and that he didn't want Austin to win the title.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley is set to take on an injured
Owen Hart. Hart is
hurt, and he doesn't last long. Chyna hits Hart over
the ankle with a
chair when the referee is not looking, and the referee
calls the match
when he determines that Hart can not continue. WINNER
AND NEW EUROPEAN
CHAMPION, HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY.
Sable and Luna are set to get it on, but referees,
Goldust and Marc
Mero prevent it. Mero is pulling Sable away, and Sable
twists her
ankle. Goldust and Luna head to the back, and Mero
searches for
medical help. Kane marches to the ring to confront a
hurt Sable, and
Undertaker shows up on the Titantron to prevent
anything.

| HOUGHTS FROM FANS
>>Chris<<
>>chrisnugent@bigpond.com<<
I suppose Nick from yesterday's newsletter is partly
right, and I
have exaggerated in what I have said about the WWF. I
don't really
believe that Degeneration X is ripping off the NWO,
but I think the
NWA is a bit. It's just that Vince McMahon pisses me
off heaps. He
has done a lot of great things but he has done some
pathetic things
as well and I hate how he tries to take cheap shots
at WCW. It dates
back to the Royal Rumble 96 where he made an ad
ripping on Savage,
Hogan and Ted Turner. There was no need to do that
because the WWF
were leading in the TV ratings, but McMahon seems to
always try and
have a go at WCW without making it obvious - Tyson
holding up a WCW
sucks sign, interviewing Jarrett to badmouth WCW
(although Jarrett
did say some fair things about WCW) and saying Hogan
and Savage were
has-beens (which they were, but he only started
saying that when
they left). Basically, I don't have anything against
WWF and three
months ago I liked it almost as much as WCW, but I
disagree with
what McMahon is doing. I think everyone can make up
their mind after
Wrestlemania, which will probably change everything.

/\/\/\FINAL THOUGHTS/\/\/\
Well, I am just a fan, and I am having troubles being a
fan. I run a
good newsletter, but the WCW still insists not to let
me backstage at
shows. Makes me mad.
Survey ends in a few days. Most things went cheap, and
those which
went for more, well, I can not complain. I didn't make
it for profit.
I did it to get rid of the stuff. I have too much
stuff, and I am
doing the same with other nonwrestling merchandise.
I am really busy till Thursday night. After that, I
will be able to
devote more time to expressing my thoughts here.
