We are looking for someone that can update and maintain
our web site, once
we get it up again. Nathan is not running this, but
someone else I feel can
do a great job. The only problem is, he can not do it
everyday, and that's
what we need. The site will have a PW to update, so if
you are interested,
mail me!

\_/ Nailz was backstage at Nitro on Monday. He will be
joining the nWo and
he will be getting a major push. A lot of people are
understandably
upset with this. You may remember that Nailz worked in
the WWF for a
while. He got into an argument with Vince McMahon and
began choking him.
Several wrestlers had to pull him off of his boss. He
then called the
police and claimed the McMahon sexually assaulted him.
From what I
understand, there was no truth to that claim. I believe
he also
testified against McMahon in the steroid trial (MiCasa)
\_/ Dam Severn told a TRE reader that he will make his
WWF debut in mid April.
\_/ Glen Kulka should be getting a decent push as he
will be showing up on Raw
more often (Jaycee Cannon)

\_/ Dave Meltzer reports that Scott Hall will not be on
WCW TV for a while.
Hall has checked himself into rehab, and he will be out
of action for a
while. Dean Malenko will also be off TV for a while,
but it is my
understanding that he will be returning in a little
while (MiCasa)
\_/ All the details are not known, but Meltzer says
that WCW will be doing
another test for Nitro on Monday. If you have a
satellite dish, you may
be able to watch Nitro without any commercial
interruption. So you would
get to see what's going on during the commercials like
the Nitro Girls
and there may be interviews etc. Apparently they will
be doing this once
a month and there a rumors that WCW may be looking into
getting a
corporate sponsor for each show, and the show will be
aired without any
commercials (MiCasa)
\_/ The A&E pro wrestling show called "The Secrets of
Professional
Wrestling" will air on Sunday, April 26 at 9:00P.M. It
is a two-hour
show and will feature interviews with several wrestlers
and even Eric
Bischoff. Unfortunately the first hour of the show
collides with the
last hour of the WWF IYH PPV (Sports World Media)
\_/ Spicolli, who died in the early hours of the
morning last month due to
a Soma pain killer overdose combined with alcohol, was
due for a
substantial pay increase, reveals TBR sources. Louie's
family was
expecting to receive the wrestler's salary that was
owed to him, but WCW
has refused, instead citing a "death clause," says
wrestling
photographer Mike Lano (TBR)
\_/ Barry Darsow may join the nWo and team up with
Bryan Adams and start
Demolition back up (Jaycee Cannon)
\_/ ECW is mad about WCW using the Stop Sign gimmick
(Jaycee Cannon)
\_/ Arn Anderson will be on Prodigy Classic at 8 PM
Eastern on he 25TH (Jaycee
Cannon)

NAME: Shawn Michaels
REAL NAME: Michael Hickenbottom
NICKNAME: The Heartbreak Kid
APPROX HEIGHT: 6'1''
APPROX WEIGHT: 200lbs
FINISHING MOVE: "Sweet Chin Music" Superkick (Grade B)
FEDERATION: WWF
TITLES HELD (WCW and WWF): WWF World (x3), WWF I-C
(x3),
WWF Tag (x2), WWF European.
MOST HATED OPPONENT: Bret Hart
GREATEST MATCH: vs The Undertaker (Badd Blood: Hell in
a cell)
PAST NICKNAMES/CHARACTERS: "The Boy Toy", one half of
the Rockers
with Marty Jannetty.
CURRENT PROGRAM: vs Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF
World Title.
Since being awarded the world title last November,
Shawn has made no
credible title defenses at all, yet this bout is
looking to be the
one in which he finally drops the WWF world crown. The
program has
not built up very well, simply because everyone knows
that Austin is
going to win, despite HBK's constant rambling about him
not lying
down for anyone. It seems that Mike Tyson has
overwhelmed this
program, so it is known as the "Steve Austin wins the
world title
with Mike Tyson involved" angle. Michaels, the self
professed "show
stopper", doesn't get a look in. (Grade C)
PROSPECTS: Well, he'll always be around the top of the
card because
his ego won't let him take any less. The problem is
that his body is
breaking down due to the huge number of crazy bumps he
has taken over
the years. Jumping off cages and through tables is
going to take it's
toll. If he is in tears of pain after delivering one
superkick, I
can't see how he can continue. He may well stay at the
top of the
card, but with his health the way it is right now, he
won't be there
for long....(Grade C)
WRESTLING ABILITY: Michaels is over-rated here by many
people. He is
considered by many to be a great wrestler. He is not.
He's a great
entertainer, no question, but when it comes to his
repertoire, he is
not very diverse. He likes to stick to slams,
elbowdrops, leaping
moves and the superkick, only using suplexes once every
few years.
His main value is being thrown around like a ragdoll
and being
entertaining whilst having this occur. Although not
positive for
winning matches or healthy for his career's longevity,
he must be
given credit for being an entertaining wrestler (Grade
B+)
INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE: Very very good. Michaels can turn
it on and have
the entire crowd lap it up. Triple H looks like a
blundering novice
with interviews when compared to HBK. Mind you, Triple
H looks like a
blundering novice when compared to almost anyone....
(Grade A+)
CHARISMA: You can't fault him here either. Whilst a
dreadfully
unprofessional employee and a man with a hugely
inflated ego, he can
simply own the crowd when he wants to. (Grade A)
IS HE OVER?: Certainly is. Up there with the best of
them. His run as
a face never saw him rival Austin or Hart's popularity,
but when he
is a heel, he's at his best and draws some marvelous
heat. (Grade A)
OVERALL GRADE: B-
Why so low? I hear you say. Well, there are several
factors that
bring HBK down a few notches. One - his body is simply
not up to the
punishment he gives it anymore. He only has a couple
more years left
in him, I would say, and he appears far too few times
to be taken
seriously anymore. How many times has he defended the
title since
"winning" it? I can think of about 3 times. How many of
these bouts
has he won? One (and that is only due to Kane's
interference). That
isn't a champion. Second of all, his refusal to let
anyone (except
his bedfriends) pin him makes me sick. People like
Benoit go out and
constantly put others over - heck, even Hogan jobs a
lot these days,
but HBK thinks he's so great that he shouldn't lie down
for anyone.
Well, this won't do. For his lack of professional
accumen, it
certainly brings him down a grade. The lack of work he
puts in these
days also brings him down. A great shame. He could have
been a true
legend instead of just boasting about being one all the
time.
