that most of

event. SN reader Dick Bourne pointed out that SEE

being offered every
Monday night FOLLOWING a WCW pay-per-view. SEE Magazine
also revealed
that Nitro Plus will start on April 20, 1998. Nitro

\_/ Scott Hall checked himself into a rehab on Tuesday.
Since first being
reported earlier in the week, more has been learned.
Hall reportedly
worked through Nitro on Monday despite wanting to check
in that day. He
then flew to Arizona on Tuesday where he checked
himself into a
Scottdale rehab. It is also being strongly rumored that
Hall had some
reaction to cocaine and Etoh, an alcoholic product. The
mixture created
large problems for Hall, and he is willing to spend
more time in the
rehab than earlier visits (Living Legend)

to make me want to stay in bed all day.

- For once, I'm happy to see Kane!
- Another very cool Undertaker segment, even if he did
save Sable...

For the Nitro after a PPV, it wasn't anything
spectacular. But then,
neither was RAW. I think both shows have fallen into a
pattern, and
it's not a very entertaining one. Come one, guys,
can't you do any
better?

A while ago I wrote a column about Louie Spicolli, and
speculated on
whether there is a wrestler's heaven. If so, what
would the matches be
like? I received mail from Rhino speculating on some
of the matches,
and wondering if there was some way that matches could
be simmed using
the technology.

That got me to thinking. I remember quite a few years
ago some people
got together and simmed up a boxing match between Rocky
Marciano and
Muhammed Ali. Marciano was still alive at the time, so
they had Ali and
Marciano get into the ring and stage the rounds. The
computer had spit
out hundreds of rounds with various endings, then the
film was edited,
and put out in theaters on a PPV type atmosphere. The
outcome of the
match was kept under wraps, however I was living in
California at the
time, and heard the results because they had shown it
on the East Coast
first.

Now, if they could do this back in the 60's or 70's,
what can be done
today? Computer animation has progressed to the point
that programmers
can make dinosaurs walk the earth again. There are
already programs on
the market to sim wrestling matches (most notably TNM).

The stats could be fed in, moves programmed, pictures
of the older
wrestlers in their prime could be programmed in and
given animation.
Imagine having a match between Bruno Sammartino and
Larry Zybysko
with both of them in their prime. How about Ed
"Strangler" Lewis
going up against Lou Thesz? Dick the Bruiser tangling
with Cactus
Jack? Andre the Giant and Paul Wight? The
possibilities are
endless. The only limit is imagination.

I would love to see Gorgeous George in action against
HBK. Ray Stevens
tussling with Ric Flair.

Ah, I can dream, can't I?

On to another subject. I received more mail today and
I feel as if I am
losing a cherished friend. Actually, more like a
cherished friend is
moving away, so the contact will be less.

The Bagpiper has ceased publication of their daily
newsletter. I hold a
special place for the Bagpiper as it is the first
wrestling newsletter I
read, and has long been the standard by which others
are measured. I
just want to take a moment and publicly thank Charles
MacLaurin for his
service to us fans. He was among the first to do away
with rumors in
his sheet, concentrating instead on the hard news,
great columnists and
above all, entertainment. I know that he has been an
inspiration to a
large number of people out here (Matt and I included).

Charles, I wish you well in whatever you do. I'm going
to be keeping my
eyes open for your by-line as I am sure you will be a
success in the
business. It was a pleasure reading TBR, and I still
look forward to
your updates on the web page, plus the live coverage
you provide.

I have a few questions that I think I may open up to
the readers of
TRE, simply because I don't know the answers!

-----------____________--------------

Over the last few weeks, I've been asked a few
questions that have
stumped even me! If any of the readers can answer any
of these three
questions, please send the answers to me at the usual
address. I'll
be damned impressed if anyone can get all three!

- Who was under the mask of the Executioner at
WrestleMania I?

- What does Al Snow's finisher, the Snow Plow, actually
consist of?
Is it a new move he has started to use in ECW, or is it
the atomic
powerbomb that he used to use in the WWF?

- What is the name of the really heavy industrial song
that plays at
the beginning of every ECW house show?

Two of these, I don't know because I don't get ECW and
have never
seen any of it, the first one, I simply do not know!
Can anyone out
there impress me?
