GET THIS STRAIGHT. Eric Bischoff was on Prodigy
Wednesday night. He
spoke about a number of topics. Here are parts of that
interview.

When asked if the Ultimate Warrior's rumors were true
about possibly
appearing in the WCW anytime soon, he answered, "There
is absolutely
no place in WCW for the Ultimate Warrior."

Where Scott Hall and Kevin Nash ever going back to the
WWF? " I don't
think if they had the opportunity to go back to Titan
that they really
would unless it was their only option. I'm not sure
what Scott Hall or
Kevin Nash may have said to Sean Waltman behind the
scenes, but I know
in my meetings with Scott and Kevin they have
maintained a desire to
stay with WCW and do whatever necessary to make the
relationship work,
including working with Hogan to whatever extent needed.
I have a
feeling, though, that if Hall and Nash had to make a
decision to go
back to Titan, at least in Nash's case, since I talk to
him more
often...their decision would be to stay in WCW. He's
expressed that on
a number of occasions."

Bischoff commented on Sean Waltman's comments on Monday
night's RAW.
"I wasn't surprised at all. I thought it was kind of
funny in many
different ways, particularly the part where one of the
announcers
talked about how Sean Waltman had been an indentured
servant for long,
given the fact that he made more money with WCW than he
had made in
his life and barely worked a schedule that could be
considered a part
time schedule. I hope he enjoys a long and successful
career at Titan.
I hope for the sake of him and his family he can stay
healthy.

"No, I wasn't offended. I was more amused than
anything. In fact,
Hogan and I watched it together. We both looked at each
other and
laughed. I asked Hogan what it felt like to be the star
of two shows
at the same time."

When asked about rumors of displeasure by Chris
Jericho, Eddie
Guerrero and Rey Misterio Jr., Bischoff stated, "You'd
really have to
ask them."

When questioned that Giant's contract was rumored up in
March, he
stated, "Another bogus rumor."

Will Alex Wright return soon? "...we fully expect that
Alex Wright is
going to return very soon."

When asked about possibly returning Dennis Rodman,
Bischoff stated,
"I've talked to Dennis on a number of occasions, and we
fully expect
to do something with Dennis this summer after the
basketball season is
over."

On rumors about Ahmed Johnson (Tony Norris) entering
the WCW soon. "
I've never had a conversation with Tony Norris. I have
no intention of
having a conversation with Tony Norris."

MALICE IN THE PALICE. Thunder is canceled on Thursday,
April 2, and it
will be replaced by an internet exclusive for only
$7.95. The show
will be on Real Audio and can be reached starting at 8
p.m. ET at:

Here is the scheduled line-up:

  Bret Hart vs. Randy Savage.
Hollywood Hogan vs. Sting in a steel cage for the WCW
World title.
  Ric Flair vs. Curt Hennig.
Saturn and Raven vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Chris
Benoit.
  Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Konnan.
Eddie Guerrero and Bill Goldburg will be in action in
separate
    single matches.
Lizmark Jr. and Juventud Guerrera vs. La Parka and
Psychosis.

Mark Madden and Disco Inferno will be doing play by
play for the
event.

WELL, HE IS A HORSE. Mark Madden mentioned a tentative
Four Horsemen
line-up when, and if, they comeback. The line-up,
according to Madden,
is the following:

  Arn Anderson as manager.
  Ric Flair
  Chris Benoit
  Dean Malenko.
  Bill Goldburg.

The chock comes when listing Bill Goldburg with the
rest of the
members. The WCW is unsure if they want Goldburg to
work with a group
because he seems to work better as an independent.

THEY SAW A REAL FIGHT. Glacier and Billy Kidman sat in
at two recent
Jerry Springer tapings on Monday. They did not actively
participate in
the show.

SAVAGE HURTS SELF. Randy Savage was injured last night
at the WCW
Saturday Night taping last night in Madison, WI. The
card featured a
Sting vs. Savage match. About a minute into the match
Savage collapsed
after falling in an awkward manner. The injury seemed
to be an ankle
injury, but no official report has been mentioned.

Savage's status for tonight's "Malice in Palice" is in
jeopardy.

STING GETS A LITTLE STUNG. Sting hurt his hip on Nitro.
He is expected
to be ready for tomorrow's "Malice in the Palice"
internet pay per
view. He wrestled on the WCW Saturday Night taping last
night with the
injury.

TAPE IT NOW, SEE IT LATER. WCW Saturday Night was taped
last night in
Madison, WI. Here are the results:

  Psychosis won.

    British Bulldog made the save.

  Hammer beat his opponent.
  Marty Jannetty pinned Horshu.
  Jim Duggan won.
  El Dandy defeated Evan Courageous.
Barbarian pinned Reece with help from Jimmy Hart.
  Chavo Guerrero defeated Kevin Blanchard.
  Scott Steiner pinned Jerry Lynn.
Jim Neidhart lost to Randy Savage.
Sting beat Randy Savage after a scorpion deathdrop.

CALL ME THIS.WWF is planning on using "X-Pac" as Sean
Waltman's new

MICHAELS PROBLEMS. Shawn Michaels will be taking time

his is being given enough time as needed to recover.

While Michaels is gone, Degeneration X will continue to
bash Michaels
for deserting them.

TAPED STUFF. RAW for next week was taped last night in
Syracuse, NY,
and of course Shawn Michaels was not there, but the
rest of the WWF
stars were. Do not look if you don't want to know what
will happen on
the next RAW. Here are the dark match results:

  Adam Copeland defeated Sean Stasiak.
  Val Venis beat Tom Brandi.
Undertaker, Steve Austin and Ken Shamrock beat Rocky
Maivia, Goldust
    and Kane.

Shotgun taping results:

Jarrett runs in and
hits Blackman with a guitar following the match.
Degeneration X are on the Titantron about to urinate
on DOA's
    motorcycles.
Faarooq is shown walking into the arena, and he is
attacked by the
    Nation of Domination.
Owen Hart beat Rocky Maivia by dq following a Chyna
interference.
McMahon brings out the new Austin in a suit. Austin
has a picture
taken of himself, and then tears off the suit.
Austin claims he
    won't change for no one.
  Luna wins a match.
Marc Mero and Ken Shamrock wrestle to a no decision
after the Nation
    of Domination interfere.
The DOA is mad at DX, and they challenge them for
later in the show.
Cactus Jack hits the ring to state that he is mad at
the fans. He is
mad that they chanted Austin's name during his
matches, and that
it wasn't worth his trouble. He left stating that
it will be a
long time before the fans see Cactus Jack again.
Hunter Hearst Helmlsey and the New Age Outlaws beat
the Disciples of
Apocalypse. The new Legion of Doom runs in at the
end of the show.

.......The 1960's Saw Many Changes in Professional
Wrestling.........
............................PART
TWO.................................

by Nick Runnels
RunnelsD@aol.com

The AWA, unlike the NWA, did have a solid tag team
championship. This
championship was not dominated by one team like the
Sharpe era of the
1950's NWA or like Gagne with the World title. There
were many very
short title reigns, including some which only lasted a
few days. The
first champions were Murder Inc. This team was made of
Tiny Mills and
Stan Kowalski. They lost the title, two months after
they won it, to
Hard Boiled Haggerty and Len Montana. Haggerty would go
on to hold the
title on four occasions with three different partners.

On August 20, 1963, Crusher Lisowski and Dick the
Bruiser won the
titles for the first time. They would go on to hold the
championship
four times in the 1960s, making them the most
successful AWA team of
that decade. Their title reigns were fairly long
compared to some of
the other teams. Dick the Bruiser, today, is recognized
 as one of the
most dangerous wrestlers of all time.

Other tag team champions were Pat O'Connor and Wilbur
Snyder, Larry
Hennig and Harley Race, and many other combinations of
wrestlers.

As the AWA was formed to further the career of Verne
Gagne, the WWWF
was partly formed to further the career of Bruno
Sammartino. The
formation was because of a dispute concerning
Sammartino, Buddy
Rogers, and Lou Thesz.

In 1962 and 1963, Bruno Sammartino was engaged in a
great feud with
"Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. On August 2, 1962, they had
a match in
Toronto, Canada. Sammartino won this match and should
have been
declared World Champion, but refused to take the title.
He did this
because of the way he won the match. Sammartino was
running from the
ropes and Rogers tried to jump over him (a move called
a "leap frog.")
Rogers did not jump high enough and Sammartino's head
hit him in the
groin. He was in serious pain and could not continue
the match.
Sammartino was awarded the match, but he refused the
title being a
true gentleman.

Now, Rogers seemed to be afraid of Sammartino. On
November 15, 1962,
they had a rematch. This time, Rogers wrestled totally
defensively
and escaped the match with a draw. He ran away from
Bruno throughout
the whole match. This match proved that Bruno was the
better wrestler
of the two. Fifteen days later, they had another
rematch. Rogers
pulled the same antics and again escaped with a draw.

On January 24, 1963, Rogers lost his title to Lou
Thesz. This is when
the WWWF formed. The formation happened for two
reasons. The first
reason was that Lou Thesz did not deserve a title shot.
He had been
defeated by Dory Funk Sr. just eight days earlier,
which gives him no
right to a title shot. The match between Rogers and
Thesz was also a
one fall match, which was a very rare occurrence for a
title match.
The second reason was that it seemed that Rogers was
carefully
choosing his opponents rather than giving title shots
to the top
contenders. Sammartino was the number one contender.

This promotion was in the centered in the Northeast of
the United
States. "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers was the first WWWF
World Champion.
There are two theories on how he got the title. Some
say that he was
awarded the title because the promoters who had broken
from the NWA
didn't recognize his one fall loss to Lou Thesz. Others
say that he
defeated Antonino Rocca in a fictitious tournament in
Rio de Janeiro.
Either way, he was the first champion.

The feud between Rogers and Sammartino was still going
on in the brand
new WWWF. On April 18, 1963, Bruno cornered Rogers in
Washington, but
both men were disqualified. The rules of wrestling say
that a title
cannot change hands on a disqualification. Rogers kept
his title. He
didn't keep it for long, though. On May 17th, the two
stars again met
in the ring. This time it was in front of approximately
20,000 fans in
the famed Madison Square Garden. Bruno destroyed Rogers
in this match
in only 48 seconds. It was now known who the best
wrestler in the
world was.

Bruno held this title until 1971, when he lost it to
the Russian Bear,
Ivan Koloff. During his eight years as champion, he
defended his title
all over the country against combatants such as Fred
Blassie and Ray
Stevens.

The WWWF did not have a tag team championship until
1971, and they did
not have a women's championship until 1983.

The 1960's were also a tragic decade in wrestling
history. Gorgeous
George Wagner had a heart attack and died on December
26, 1963. Yukon
Eric shot himself in January 1965, after a match. Ed
"Strangler" Lewis
and Stanislaus Zybyszko, two legends in the sport of
wrestling, both
died. "Iron" Mike Dibiase, father of the "Million
Dollar Man" Ted
Dibiase, had a heart attack while taking part in a
wrestling match and
died in the ring. These men will never be forgotten by
serious
wrestling fans.

   | HOUGHTS FROM FANS

     >>David<<
>>dluzader@fuse.net<<

First, I'd like to say that I thought WrestleMania 14
was excellent!
One of the best PPVs in recent memory, and definitely
the best
WrestleMania in the past few years. And Raw the night
after was
spectacular as well! Most everything was great about
the PPV, but
there are a few things I thought weren't needed at
all. As well, I'm
going to talk about my thoughts on the overall
direction of the WWF.
=20
  1.) Gennifer Flowers - I don't know if she's just
playing up a
character or what, but after hearing the promos she
cut for the WWF,
I got one thing to say: What a slut! What the heck
was the point in
having her there? If her promos reflect her real-life
self, then I
have no respect for her. And if she was just playing
up a character,
why did the WWF want her to act like a slut? To open
up the
"creative envelope" again? That's a bunch of crap. If
opening the
"creative envelope" means acting immoral and
degrading, then perhaps
they should close it back up until they get it right.
At least they
could've got someone with a little bit of class.

2.) The DX Band - I like the DX theme song, because
it flows good,
and fits them well. But other than that, this band
completely
sucked! Their rendition of America the Beautiful was
pathetic to say
the least. Did anyone out there actually like it? I
doubt it, and if
you did, what's wrong with you? It sounded terrible!
Does anyone
actually think the leader of that band can sing? Come
on! How much
talent does it take to "talk" words into a
microphone, and yell at
the top of your lungs every now and then? None.
People used to say
that hard rock and heavy metal musicians couldn't
really sing, but
I'll tell you something. I've never heard anything
like the garbage
put out by all these alternative bands today. Jim
Ross said after
the song, "Only in America and the World Wrestling
Federation can
there be this time of freedom of expression!"
Hahahahahaha!! Well, I
wouldn't admit to it. If that's the best someone can
do to express
themselves, then I feel sorry for them.

3.) The Overall Direction of the WWF - Every time
someone in the
WWF does something immoral or degrading, they cover
up for it by
saying they're just "opening the creative envelope",
or, it's just
"freedom of expression." That is so stupid! Look at
DX...how much
"creativity" does it take to fill your interviews
with sexual
innuendoes and act like an immoral, degrading jerk?
Anyone with a
dirty mind could do that. And now they're giving a
guy a porn star
gimmick (Val Venis)? Freedom of expression? Maybe so,
but some
people express themselves in a bad way. It's up to
the individual to
decide what's right and wrong, but when the founding
forefathers
made the whole freedom of expression thing, I don't
think they meant
it was okay to express yourself in degrading, morally
wrong ways.
Now before I go any further, I want to say something.
I know some
idiot out there reading this is going to write to me
and say
something like, "Lighten up!! It's just
wrestling...it's
entertainment! You're taking it to seriously!" I know
it's just
  wrestling and entertainment, but entertainment
reflects what's going
on in society. I've been noticing a lot lately, that
in wrestling
and in real life things, people use the freedom of
expression law to
get away with acting immoral and degrading. How come
it's so hard
for people to decide what's right and what's wrong?
How come it's so
hard for people to determine when something has gone
to far? Doesn't
anyone know what a Bible is anymore? People always
say, "Who's
decision is it to decide what is really right and
wrong?" Well I
think God made it perfectly clear in the Bible what
is right and
wrong, and where the line should be drawn. It's up to
the individual
to take note of these things, and live our lives
accordingly,
because God gave us all free will. We can do whatever
we want with
our lives. But if people take advantage of that, and
live in an
immoral, degrading way, then they will pay the
consequences in the
  long run.

I would like to say how much I am disappointed in
WCW. Nitro just
doesn't seem to keep my interest the way it used to.
It has gotten
boring and repetitive. WCW was barely able to keep
two hours
interesting during Nitro, and now that it is three
hours long every
week, I just find it annoying. I have tried to enjoy
it, but I just
don't seem capable of doing it. Hogan sucks as a
wrestler, and
personally I am tired of seeing the NWO. It has gone
on for entirely
too long now. It was great when they first came out.
I was all for
them, but Hogan has made me dislike them. I have
always been one
who liked the "bad guys." Hogan has always
disappointed me as
wrestler. I still can't understand why he has always
won a belt. As
far as I am concerned best wrestler in the NWO is
Curt Henning, but
for some reason they WCW won't let him actually
wrestle. Instead he
has to rely on his "friends" to help him out.

As far as I am concerned WWF is the true leader in
wrestling. They
can actually give us good matches. Shawn Michaels is
the greatest. I
have liked Michaels ever since he turned in Marty
Jannetty years
ago. He is the best wrestler there is, and his
finishing move,
"sweet chin music," is also the greatest . Michaels's
superkick is
even better than that of Chris Adams. What I like
about Michaels is
that he is always at his best. I have never seen him
truly wrestle
bad. As far as Steve Austin goes goes, he pisses me
off. He always
says he doesn't care about fans yet every weak he is
sucking up to
the fans. I can't stand that.

Anyway the whole point of me writing this letter was
to state how
much I hated WCW now. It's tired. WWF, though, still
(is the best),
and I will watch it faithfully because it is able to
keep my
  interest unlike WCW.

                   /\/\/\FINAL THOUGHTS/\/\/\

Well, I am sick and tired of this crap. I get no
respect, no money and
I work my ass off. I am going to be shutting down the
newsletter on
April 15. That will be the last date of the newsletter.

I get enough e-mail as it is. Save it. I don't want to
hear you saying
that you want me to stay. I will just dump it. I will
not think twice.

The sad thing is that I just interviewed independent
manager Dawn
Marie and legendary superstar Bruno Sammartino tonight.
They are not
on tape, and since the newsletter will end soon, I will
not take time
to type them up. Good thing too. Bruno is a loud mouth,
and Dawn Marie
is fat and ugly.

I hope you realized by now, I continued the little
APRIL FOOLS joke
from my web page onto the newsletter. I am not stopping
the
newsletter. I did talk to Dawn Marie, and I will be
opening her page
this weekend. I am hoping to give Bruno Sammartino a
call this Friday.
I have an old number of his, and I am hoping it is
still working.

For those who don't know Dawn Marie. If you watch MTV,
watch the
Silent Bob and Jay commercial with the bikini girl. The
dark haired
one is Dawn Marie.

The rest of this is real.

We had the wrong e-mail address yesterday. Subscribe to
the Outsider
Edge Newsletter by writing:
<>tbozsguy@wrestlinginc.com<>

E-mail me if you are from the Kansas City area. There
is a Nitro on
May 11. I am trying to get a list of interested
participates.

I made a decision. If you thought it was wrong, tell
me. I included
the mention to "God" in the viewer thought by David. If
any one was
offended, let me know. I need to know for future
newsletters.

I am going to get my ass in gear this Friday. Look out.
I am going to
be kicking some butt. I will let you know how it goes
or doesn't go.

I found a new guy to do the web page. We will be moving
to a new
server soon, but we need to gain ad revenue before that
happens. I
will have a list of prices in the newsletter on Friday.
I will
continue not to take ads for the newsletter, but I will
take a banner
for the web page. E-mail me if you are interested....so
I can get an
idea of how many people would like in.

Actually, we are looking for someone to set up a site
for me. I do not
want to pay, but I will offer links, banners and so on
in return. Let
me know if you want to help us. You will get full
credit. Show me some
examples if you are interested.

I am looking at no more than $20 a page for a month.
You can be seen
by 5000 people a day for a month. That is a steal in my
book.
Webmasters can e-mail me. I will be happy to make a
banner for your
page for no charge.
