\_/ Shawn Michaels is expected to return in late June.
 When he returns
you will most likely see the old Shawn Michaels and he
will feud with
Degeneration X. This will most likely occur for one
main reason, the
WWF did not include his name on the DX banner at
wwf.com, but just
today he was added. They probably do not want the
angle to get out
yet, but it obviously has. Look for Shawn to team with
Owen Hart and
later feud with HHH and go at it in a ladder match for
the Euro Title!
(NewsWire)

\_/ At the IYH "Unforgiven" PPV in Greensboro, Steve
Austin will be facing
a mystery opponent. The storyline to this is that Vince
McMahon wont
tell him who the opponent is because he is so mad at
him, it is being
rumored at the moment that the opponent will be Mick
Foley because
of an interview that he did on the Raw tapings in where
he talked about
being tired of fans always cheering for Austin and how
Cactus Jack will
be gone for a while, so it can also be one of Foley's
other
personalities like Mankind to face Austin at the PPV. I
doubt it would
be Dude Love. I heard the interview Foley did on Raw
that will air this
Monday is excellent (Diamond D)

\_/ On May 14th I believe in Anaheim at the Pond. Steve
Austin will face
Marc Mero in a stipulation match where if Austin wins,
he will get
Sable, it is being reported that at somepoint in May ,
Austin will get
Sable and he and Mero will feud over Sable. The WWF is
going to use
Austin's mega star status to push guys like Mero and
others who are not
able to get over and the WWF hopes that a feud with
Austin may get Mero
more into the spotlight (Diamond D)

\_/ Here is the card for Mahem and Manchester:

-Steve Austin v HHH
-New Age Outlaws v LOD 200
-The Rock v Owen Hart
-The Undertaker v Goldust
-Kain v Chains
-Ken Shamrock v Double J
-Cactus Jack / Chainsaw Charlie v The Godwinns
-Bradshaw v Mero
-Brakus v D'Lo Brown.

\_/ At yesterday's RAW tapings, Val Venis and Adam
Copeland debuted. Both
won their matches, and Venis won his with a great
splash.

-Dan Severn beat Flash Funk.
-DX peed on the DoA's bikes.
-Steve Austin, dressed in a tux, shook the hand of
McMahon. Moments later,
he attacked Vince.

\_/ WCW held their Internet exclusive, "Malice in the
Palace," on
Thursday night, but the big news of the night was not
related to the
show. It was learned that Randy Savage will be pulled
from the main
event at Spring Stampede because of an injury. Mark
Madden is reporting
that Savage has a torn ACL on one of his knees from a
nasty fall at the
WCW Saturday Night taping on Tuesday night in Madison,
WI. The injury
has been stated as severe, and Savage is expected to
receive major
reconstructive surgery soon. He return is indefinite.
Add this to an
ailing Eddie Guerrero and Sting, and the WCW is looking
for help.
Guerrero missed tonight's card with Savage and missed
this past Monday's
Nitro because of a minor knee injury. Sting has been
ailing from a hip
and back injury, but he did wrestle on Thursday night's
card. Madden has
many answers on replacements for Savage at Spring
Stampede. The top
talent is already locked up in the "bat match" and Bret
Hart is too
young to the league to earn a title shot. Madden looks
at either Ric
Flair to try to relive the 1989 45 minute classic draw
at the first
Clash of the Champions against Sting or some younger
talent to get the
shot. Sting was a midcarder until his classic draw with
Flair in 1989.
The match placed Sting in main caliber, and Madden
suggests a similar
push for another young WCW star. Madden threw names out
such as Chris
Benoit and Eddie Guerrero, but the WCW has yet to make
a decision

I got a really pleasant surprise this past Saturday on
Shotgun
Saturday Night. The gentleman who worked such a good
match with Taka
Michinoku was our former Lightweight, Middleweight and
Tag champion
Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels. If you ever wondered
about how good
our training at Windy City is, Daniels is a prime
example. He went
from being nicknamed "Biff the Crash Test Dummy"
because everyone
practiced their suplexes on them to being the Head
Trainer during his
stay here. He left for California to help his wife
attempt her dream
of a movie career and has worked in Southern California
and Northern
Mexico since. I hope this is not just a one-shot gig.
This is one
talented young man who could go far with the right
push.

I have to confess to a guilty pleasure. I can't wait
to see Bill
Goldberg's squashes on Nitro and Thunder. I know there
are those "in the
know" who think that Goldberg is overrated and doesn't
deserve a push.
These people do not work in the business and are not
the ones buying
tickets to the events. I work in the wrestling business
as I have
mentioned here on several occasion including earlier in
this column, and
I can tell you that he deserves everything he is
getting right now. He
has worked hard to put himself over with the fans and
all you have to do
is look at all the signs in the crowd to see that he
has succeeded. He
plays to his strength which is portraying himself as a
power brawler. He
doesn't try to pretend that he is a technical wrestler
even though he is
adding moves to his repertoire daily. I would tell all
the "smarts" out
there to remember that he is just a rookie, he is very
green and it
takes, seriously, about three years to get to the level
of being a
quality worker. As I have said in the past, watch this
man, he is the
next superstar if he is handled right.

Speaking of superstars, I want to close by giving
Scott Steiner and
WCW credit for recognizing the potential problems in
using the name
White Thunder and changing it to Superstar Scott
Steiner. The issue
of perceived bigotry as well as Scott's own realizing
how his look
compares to that of one of his idols was a brilliant
career move. I
hope this heel turn is long lasting and leads to a
singles belt in
the near future.

With her illness, right now we are dedicating TRE to JL
Sigman. JL is an
extraordinary woman. A while ago, she had some health
problems, that we all
thought she was better, but recently is flared up. I am
no doctor, so I
can't really say what is wrong, all I can do is hope
for her recovery.

We would also like to acknowledge dedications to Lyle
Root, who died of Lou
Gehrigs disease awhile back. Lyle is obviously Jerry's
father. The last
dedication is to Jerry himself, who has constantly
helped out TRE in and
behind the scenes. All three of these people are truly
TRE Legends.
