I DIDN'T HEAR IT. Last night's "Malice in the Palace"
featured a match
not broadcasted on the show. It featured a local DJ,
Bubba the Love
Sponge and Jim Duggan teaming together. They went on to
beat the Texas
Hangmen.

LOOK AT ME. Mark Madden is reporting that Lex Luger
could also be a
weak consideration as a new Four Horsemen member is
Dean Malenko
doesn't work out.

LINE THEM UP. The April 19 "Spring Stampede" has the
following planned
line-up:

Hollywood Hogan and Kevin Nash vs. Giant and Roddy
Piper in a bat
    match.
Sting vs. Randy Savage for the WCW World title.
For the WCW US title, Diamond Dallas Page vs. Raven.
Chris Benoit vs. Booker T for the WCW TV title.
Curt Hennig vs. the British Bulldog.
Chris Jericho vs. Prince Iaukea for the WCW
Cruiserweight title.

FUNKSTER HURT. Terry Funk injured his hip area during
his match at
Wrestlemania. The hardcore legend wrestled through the
injury the next
night on RAW, but he will be taking time to let the
area heal.

HE IS OUT. WWF referee Earl Hebner is reportedly
conscience at a
Boston hospital. He has been able to slowly start
speaking and
recognizing people.

Hebner suffered an unknown brain aneurysm on Friday
night. He has been
in an area hospital since.

THEY ARE A CLUB. Shiochi Funaki, Teioh and Dick Togo,
the three men
who attacked Taka Michinoku on RAW have been labeled as
"Klub
Kamikaze."

NOT THAT LOW. Initial reports of the Wrestlemania buy
rate were at a
1.8, but the WWF is reporting that it is actually
around a 2.2.
Usually the WCW, ECW and WWF claim higher buy rates
than were actually
the case. No official reports have been made.

GIVE HIM A PUSH. Marc Mero will be highlighting some
matches against
Steve Austin next month. He might get a title shot at
the May In Your
House.

IT WAS A HOTBED. The WWF is reporting that their web
site located at
www.WWF.com featured over 2000 hits a minute during the
peak parts of
Wrestlemania.

ALI, INOKI MEET AGAIN

TOKYO (AP) -- When he was heavyweight boxing champion
22 years ago,
Muhammad Ali fought an inconclusive bout with a
Japanese pro wrestler.
Today, he came back to watch wrestler Antonio Inoki's
final match.
                        =20
"I'm feeling good," Ali, who suffers from Parkinson's
disease, told
reporters upon arrival at his hotel.
                        =20
Ali, dressed in a blue polo shirt and brown blazer,
managed to spar
playfully with Inoki for photographers, despite shaking
and moving
slowly from the effects of the disease.
                        =20
People with Parkinson's fail to produce the
neurotransmitter dopamine,
which controls voluntary movement.
                        =20
Ali's heavily publicized exhibition "boxing-wrestling"
match with
Inoki in Tokyo in 1976 was declared a draw. Inoki spent
most of the
fight in a crab-like position on the mat kicking out at
the circling
champion's legs. Ali ended up hospitalized for blood
clots and muscle
damage.

   | HOUGHTS FROM FANS

     >>Andy<<
>>denn4850@mach1.wlu.ca<<

I'm replying to David's letter about morality in
wrestling. First of
all, the Gennifer Flowers thing was just good old
Vince McMahon
trying to capitalize on the Clinton affairs. But it
was badly done,
and yes, she does appear to be somewhat of (immoral).

If you don't like the direction of the WWF, then
don't watch it
anymore. Simple as that. If you do watch it, and you
know there are
issues that question your moral fiber, then it is up
to you whether
or not you want to be influenced by it. Most of the
shenanigans that
go on are just superficial and meant to amuse. They
aren't trying to
corrupt or offend anyone. You do have to lighten up a
bit if you
  want to enjoy this stuff.

The Biblical issues that you brought up are probably
the most
irrelevant comments I have ever read in this
newsletter. It seems
clear to me, and probably to a majority of people,
that Americans
live by the Declaration of Independence, the
Constitution and the
Bill of Rights. Most Americans put more value in
these documents
than in the Bible, and there is absolutely nothing
wrong with that
if that's what you choose to do. This in mind, it's
idiotic to say
that people are using "freedom of expression" to 'get
away' with
saying and doing certain things. It seems to me to be
a little late
in the game to be putting so little value in an ideal
that is in
large part the basis for the United States. Freedom
of expression is
what made America one of the greatest countries in
the world. It's
what sets it apart from so many other nations. As a
Canadian, I can
see that we have followed the American example and
have also
  prospered.

I'm not saying that I don't believe in God, and don't
live a moral
life, I try to do that. But if you try and supplant
the Bill of
Rights with the Bible, you will fail miserably,
that's the reality
of living in a democracy where people can chose to
say and do what
they want. Freedom of expression means no exceptions.
These are the
same laws that let the WWF act the way they do allow
you to talk
about religion and God. If the rules shouldn't apply
to the WWF,
then they shouldn't apply to you.

Even though the WCW seems to beat the WWF in the
ratings every week,
the WWF, I think, still has the best product.
Wrestlemania was
another example of just that. I watched Starrcade and
World War III,
and seems that the WCW PPVs are simply extensions of
Nitro.
Wrestlemania was prepped and proved to be an EVENT.
WWF has the
ability to create an atmosphere surrounding it's more
prestigious
event like Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and Summerslam.
I will agree
that the In Your House PPVs that I have seen have
been less than
lack-lustre, but even they are solid competition to
the last
Starrcade. Wrestlemania was one of the best PPVs I
have ever seen.
Every match (except for the lightweight match) was
all-out exciting
entertainment. The trash bin match was brutal. Both
teams took an
absolute beating (Terry Funk is 53) and gave 110%.
Shamrock simply
dissected the Rock. It was an awesome display of
power by both men.
Kane vs. Undertaker was excellent (even though it
took the men over
30 minutes just to get to the ring). The main event
was top notch as
well. Even though Michaels went back-first into the
turnbuckle and
really hurt himself, he still made the rest of the
match exciting.

I guess what I am trying to say is that WCW is
incapable of such a
high caliber main event. I didn't hear one-fourth of
the hype for
Sting vs. Hogan than I did for this one. You could
say that Tyson
wasn't involved in WCW, but why didn't Bischoff think
of getting
him? Rodman is okay, but Tyson brought all of the
hype.

A good case is the upcoming Spring Stampede vs. In
Your House. I
would much rather see a Undertaker vs. Kane rematch,
the evening
gown match and Jarrett vs. Blackman than see a bat
match that will
end ten minutes later by the NWO rushing the ring.

McMahon is the king of hype. WWF will always remain
the king of the
PPVs. People can say that WWF has an inferior
product, but you have
to agree that their PPVs "lay the smack down" on the
WCWs.

                   /\/\/\FINAL THOUGHTS/\/\/\

E-MAIL ME IF YOU LIVE IN KANSAS CITY OR THE KANSAS CITY
AREA.

I got nothing done today. I need to get up at 9 a.m.
and try for a
spot on the school's Advertising Club. It is the
biggest organization
at the University of Kansas, and it means a lot that I
get it. Wish me
luck.

Don't forget to spring forward on Saturday night for
many of you.

I should have the new WOMAN ready for the WOMEN OF
WRESTLING page for
Sunday night. There I will feature an interview with
that lady in the
newsletter, and the new page will open. Should be fun.
She is not as
well known as Sunny, but when you see her pictures, I
think you will
agree that she needs to be. Also, look at what she has
to say. She has
a true love for the sport, and she is doing it for the
buzz and not
the money. Plus is 100% real.

I am going to try the new supplement this Sunday
afternoon. It will be
all viewer thoughts. Get in all you pieces for that to
me by 3 p.m. ET
Saturday. I will also have a special edition of the
Living Legend
tomorrow, Saturday. It will feature a great opportunity
for you and
me. You will see.

Do not order from the t-shirt site. I will have full
details on how to
order and get a special discount in the special issue
on Saturday.

I will have the ad prices on Sunday or tomorrow. I was
a little booked
today.
