You have probably seen Comcast's silly TV ad about two turtles (Mr. and Mrs. Slowski) trying to access the internet and liking it to be real slow. This is how they promote their high speed internet. But when you call into Comcast user support, THAT is where you find the real Slowski's: the folks in their support center! I get connected to someone and they ask my name and problem. then it's "OK.... waiting for the computer to come up..." 15 seconds later they say "OK, now just a second..." then 20 seconds later it is "Oh, I see.......hang on here...." for another 30 seconds. And all this time I wonder WHAT they could POSSIBLY be looking at that takes so DAMN long! So after another couple minutes of this irritating silence, they then say "would you mind holding for a second?" as if I hadn't been "holding" already! Then I wait on true hold for a few minutes and they come on the line and say "we're going to have to look into this, can we call you back?" Over an hour later, no call back. This is how they train us to realize that we will shouldn't call customer service.

Yep, I have no complaints about Comcast's TV and Internet - (except no Usenet) - when I call them it's like talking to the lowest paid Frys employee. Asking questions like "Can I get a fixed IP" or "What is the alternate DNS server number" can trigger a half hour delay before a half-right answer. http://www.JudgmentBuy.com http://www.TheTruthAboutHemp.com
