At just after 8 this morning, Wednesday January 6 (not the 5th as I mistakenly indicated in my earlier message), the CA*net link between Vancouver and Toronto was upgraded from 112 kbps to 224 kbps. This link is not heavily used and the upgrade would not be justified based on average load. But it sure comes in handy when our link to Seattle goes down and we shift the southbound traffic to Toronto to use the link between Toronto and Ithaca. The link upgrade took the link down for about 10 seconds. -- Mike
