I had an accident in Calgary over the X-MAS season, and rented a car while mine was being repaired. I wanted to use my ICBC insurance, which my adjuster said I could. The rental agency said "ICBC.... you pay your insurance in cash and get it back from them." That had had too much trouble with ICBC before. The rental agency was Discount btw.
