REF: US Green Card lottery / People born in Ireland/ Quotas.

                              Hello,

Here is a clarification on a couple of questions which have cropped up
regularly in my e-mail.
People BORN in Ireland have an annual minimum reserved quota of 16,000 green
cards (40%), out of the annual quota of 40,000; this is valid for each of the
three years of this program, i.e 1991, 1992, 1993. There is no numerical quota
on the number of people who can apply from each eligible country, or the
number of people from each eligible country who can be allocated a green card:
as long as the Irish minimum quota is satisfied, the luck of the draw will
rule.

Good luck to all,

Claude
