More and more the law is changing such that the directors of companies are legally responsible for the actions of the company. In some cases, directors have been fined and even jailed for illegal acts of the corporation they direct. Directors do not like this change but it is a good one because it means some person is accountable for the "face-less" corporation. On the other hand, a very big corporation can also hire the best and most expensive legal help required to try to help the directors get off.
