another ? about child windows + icons

In the same program I mentioned before I noticed the child windows have an
"inactive" caption.  Even when I click them, move them, whatever, the
caption stays grey (or whatever colour you use for inactive windows).  Any
idea what could be causing this?
Also, I seem to have trouble with the program icons.  I created 2
application icons (16*16 and 32*32), plus some icons for use in the
listview.  However when I compile one of the listview icons is used as the
large application icon.  I have checked my code dozens of times, and I'm
100% sure I load the right icon in the hIcon field of the WNDCLASSEX
structure before registering my window class.
