Tokyo - Equity Floor Support Analyst at a Global Investment Firm


A leading  Investment Banking Firm seeks high caliber professional
candidates for a technical position in its Equity division located in
Tokyo. 

Job Title:	Equity Floor Support Analyst		 


            Principle Duties & Responsibilities include 
             - Level 1 troubleshooting support for hardware, OS and
applications 
             - Move/Add/Changes work 
             - Escalation/ownership of chronic issues to 2nd and 3rd
level support teams 
             - Serve as liaison to other groups within IT through
established procedures 
             - Identify trends or issues concerning support and/or
within the computing environment 
             - Coordinate testing of new application/upgrades 
             - Training - users, new staff 
             - Coordinate/maintain support documentation 
             - Basic system administration tasks 
             - Maintenance of inventory and supplies 
             - Software installations and upgrades 
             - Level 1 market data troubleshooting (open systems only)

             - Coordination of new hire technology issues 
             - Take initiative to stay current on technology
(participate in training) 
  

          SKILLS REQUIRED 
             - Highly motivated, analytical thinking individual 
             - Excellent communication skills (bilingual -
English/Japanese) 
             - Can successfully operate as a team member as well as
independently 
             - Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows NT/98, Solaris

- Knowledge of K-shell, Perl, Market Data, HTML, NT and the Financial
industry a plus
