Back in November I sent a request that a gateway be established for the CONYERS listserv list. Shortly, after there were two negative objections stating that the gateway should not be established. Since then I've sent an e-mail note to the Conyers list to see how list subscribers felt. Initially, I was told that I did not need to solicit the listees support as the CONYERS list was a new list. However, after receiving the negative responses from bit.admin, I sent a note to the CONYERS list. There were 11 responses to my post to the CONYERS list. I have included my initial post to the CONYERS list along with the 11 responses that I received. 10 of the 11 responses were in favor of establishing the CONYERS gateway. Therefore, I am proposing once again that the CONYERS gateway be established. Since my initial post, there were over 100,000 pilgrims that attended the Nov 13, 1993 monthly apparition. The person in Stone Mountain Georgia who types ow to receive the messages via the computer. Our dedicated telephone the montly journal has been receiving several requests from people on how to receive the messages via computer. Also, our dedicated answering machine that broadcasts the monthly message from Conyers has been averaging 500 calls per month (est. Aug. 1993). The point I'm trying to make is I do believe there is an initial interest here, and I believe it is going to grow. My post to the CONYERS list, and the eleven replies follow: ======================================================================== 47 >Date: Fri, 26 Nov 93 16:51:16 EST >From: JIM DRZYMALA <DRZYMALA@UBVM> >Subject: ESTABLISHING CONYERS GATEWAY >To: conyers@UBVM >Peace and greetings, >... >The reason for this message is to solicit support for gatewaying >the CONYERS listserv list to Netnews.
