there are some groups in the "bit" distribtion which are duplicates
of groups in the traditional usenet hierarchy. these bit groups either
provide a digestified form of a regular newsgroup, or rebroadcast a
newsgroup as mail, up to a week after the real news has gone out depending
on propogations.

If you are a news site getting the bit groups I would recommend that
you take note of this and stop propogating the following groups. They
can be rmgroup'ed or x'ed out, or ask your upstream site to stop sending
them to you.

bit.listserv.security 0000000000 0000000001 x = misc.security
bit.listserv.tex-l 0000000000 0000000001 x = comp.text.tex
bit.listserv.apple2-l 0000000000 0000000001 x = comp.binaries.apple2
bit.listserv.next-l 0000000000 0000000001 x = comp.sys.next
bit.listserv.virus-l 0000000000 0000000001 x = comp.virus

there may be others.
