Hello all, I am a senior who will be graduating from Mount Holyoke College this spring. I plan to attend graduate school in the fall of 1999. Until then I am looking for opportunities to gain experience and learn more about the use of genetics and molecular biology in conservation. I have experience working in genetics labs and on conservation projects, but I have never used both these skills to achieve a common goal. I would like to work in a setting where I can learn more about the methods and techniques of genetics/molecular biology/molecular ecology that can be used to solve problems in conservation biology. I am also very interested in working in the field collecting samples and data that will be analysed to make decisions in conservation. Please let me know if you have any leads to this kind of work, either on the molecular side or the conservation side or both! I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction. Thank you for you time. Jessica Weir PS Please respond to my e-mail address directly.
