Dear Ecologgers - Does anyone know if a taxonomic key exists for the *eggs* of North American frogs and/or salamanders? Some field guides (i.e. Stebbins 1985) include a small number of examples, and there keys to the amphibian larvae. But I find myself needing to distinguish the eggs of Pseudacris streckeri from those of Ambystoma texanum -- both lay eggs singly in temporary ponds. Any references or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael M. Fuller Department of Zoology University of Oklahoma Norman, Oklahoma 73019-0235 (405) 325-4821
