The Oregon Institute, from what Chris says below, is an entrpreneural organization of researchers. It is not the same as the Marshall organization, which is funded to advance certain ideologies. I have had experience with an M.D. on the staff of the Orgeon Institute and he is has no ideological axe to grind. He's working in a new area of medicine and he was kind enough to evaluate diagnostic tests I had done under the direction of my physician. I would venture a guess that the two researchers associated with the Oregon Intstitue that signed on to the CO2 paper were funded by ideological backers, most likely from the fossil fuel industry.
