: Hi. Could you please e-mail me more info on this job? Thanks.
Thank you for replying to my message, the information you requested is now
online.
Please enter your ftp (or ncftp) program and access the files on:
iia.org
This is usually achieved by typing "ftp iia.org" or "ncftp iia.org" (without
the quotation marks) at command mode.
Login with "anonymous" (without the quotes), and use your InterNet email
address as the password...
Then the system will let you online...after your login is successful,
please type:
cd /pub/users/patriot
and then you will be in the 'patriot' directory, if you have requested
information on the uploading shareware, please access file 'uploader.zip'
and read all the files contained within the zip file. If you are
inquiring regarding reduced rate shareware then please retrieve file
'resale94.zip', if you have written me about getting computer hardware &
software at manufacturers/dealers prices, then please get file
'introkit.zip'
To obtain a listing of all files stored on the Patriot's Archive, please
get file:
descript.ion
which will identify and describe the files...after you find the ones you
like to get...type:
get filename
(note: put the name of the file you want in place of the word "filename"
Type the file's name exactly as it appears in the directory.)
The file will copy itself into the current (or specified by you) directory
on your home system. If you have any questions about your "home
directory", or the "get" command, you should contact your system
administrator or refer to your user's manual.
If you have any difficulty accessing any of the files, please write
David Starr and describe the problem and we will resolve it or if it is
unresolvable, we will provide you with an alternative.
Send your letter to:
starrd@iia.org
No ftp/ncftp program available?
If you do not have access to FTP, you may request the files via
e-mail...for information on how to use the mail servers send e-mail to
listserv@SimTel.Coast.NET with the following commands in the body
of the message. Do not include a signature since it may confuse
servers. (If you do not know what a "signature" is, don't worry about it
- you probably do not have one.)
get garbo-mailserver.info
get simtel-mailserver.info
Then the servers will send you complete information on how to retrieve my
files via e-mail...including the descript.ion file.
Thank you for your interest in the original Patriot's Archives.

FTP site administrator "The Patriot's Archive"

Due to the rather large traffic accessing our files, the Patriot's
Archives are also mirrored to:
Site name/location Directory
------------------ ---------
wuarchives.wustl.edu /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS/patriot
The mirrored sites are updated intermittedly and may not have 100% of all
the files, this is due to the practice of some of the sites to only allow
a file to remain for two months before automatic deletion (such as
wuarchive.wustl.edu), we do update the mirrored sites when we can. The
most current files can be found on the main server at iia.org (see above
access instructions)
