I, as the CHANGE President, received word that it did not make it to the board meeting on Sunday. I thought those interested might like to see the intial proposal submitted by CHANGE, I have attached it to this email. After the conference, I was talking with Kyle about status of the CHANGE proposal when he proposed the idea of maintaining a division in response to this point: =85 A cross-cluster SIG may be formed which will have the same responsibilities and recognition as a cluster (e.g., Program Planning responsibilities and Board representation). I wondered at what point the critical mass would be large enough to warrent program planning responsibilities and Board representation (as other divisions and interest groups have received). Kyle suggested that perhaps the division structure would be a more logical way to approach the issue, thus his comments. CHANGE continues to maintain a very active presence in AECT. Jim Ellsworth developed a series of promotional materials for the division that were very well received in Houston. This summer some of our members will be faciliating the AECT change discussions at Summer Leadership. The CHANGE Board believes that the strength in our membership shows that there is a strong interest in this arena. We look forward to working with the Board in defining the position of the CHANGE membership in AECT. I, personally, hope that they will take a more collaboratory approach to the process than has been taken in the past.
