Has anyone found differences in wait icons between APM and APW?

I have used some wait icons in APM which are dead ends (they have all options
unchecked and the program just sits and waits for a page change). When I open
the file in APW it ignores all the wait icons, rather than coming to a stop.
The
result is that instead of having a page that can be examined for an unlimited
time, I have a page that shows for less than a tenth of a second.

Any suggestions and/or explanations would be appreciated.
