gorkak dio: >Hi there (a few months later and from a new address). Back in the taberna, as Nko would say.< yeah, it's been a while. kind of busy off-line, haha. i'm visiting (again) los alamos, nm. a few day after i got here, i met the local cool people. among them, a very pleasant woman.. surprise. when i unveiled my nationality, she seems not to be confused, sure enough, her aita has been involved into some basque studies. i asked her who he was, but her answer didnt ring any bell on me, naturally. jandacek, that's the family's name. some days later, her circle of friends & myself attended a dinner at her place, & pretty soon i'm looking at correlations & similarities between basque and slavic/chezk words. i told him about the gurus on the basque linguistics.. he knew some of them. he mentioned also roz & trask, and some discrepancies. i took some booklets that shows the sometimes lose word parallelism, but unfortunately, not in an electronic source. i'm considering retyping it, for faster & wider distribution, at this point, i'm not discussing it, i've just wanted to share with you my findings. it is just bizarre how someone in the middle of nowhere starts digging into the ``basque thing'' driven by pure fascination. many other things caught my attention that night, like a copy of a personal letter written by buckminster fuller and addressed to mr. jandacek, & glued to the restroom walls, the geodome-like house & of course, his little daughter :) another beer & a cuban cigar, waitress! regards.. nko
