I've received the following query, looking for a Basque-speaker in the
Los Angeles area. I don't know of anyone, I'm afraid. If you can help,
can you please reply directly to the sender, who is not on Basque-L?
Thanks.

Subject: Your Web Page
Sir:
I happened to find your web sight while "surfing the net" today. I
must say, that I found it quite fascinating.
I am currently engaged to be married to a lovely Basque woman from
Bilbao. That is the purpose for my writing you.
While I am an Alumni of Nevada-Reno, having spent many years in
Nevada, I am at a loss as to find someone here in the Los Angeles area
who can translate a toast from english, into Euskera.
I thought of Robert Laxalt, an old friend of mine, but he is
currently quite ill, and his son, Bruce tells me that the prognosis is
not good.
I'm hoping that you might be able to recommend someone here in the
Los Angeles area?. If so please drop me a line.
Thanks so much
Mike Triggs
