Mmmm... do you have any real palpable evidence of such unethical behaviour?

The facts, at least for/from the people that have been members of the then
mail list from Princeton - and I have since the very early 90s, is that spam
filled the bit.listserv.coco Usenet newsgroup because of an unattended mail
list, which was gated to the usenet group, no one was moderating or taking
care of the Princeton mail list; "our" newsgroup fell victim as many many
other mail lists and newsgroups to the spamepidemic of the late 90s - no one
needed to actually "go in" and sign up anything to get the spam, the bots
took care of the whole thing.

The Yahoo! groups were established well before the spam infestation... I
remember that I used to get the usenet group by the then fledging DejaNews
service as I had unsuscribed to the mail list because of the sheer volume of
dirt flying into my Inbox. Things didn't get any better and the Maltedmedia
list was born, an effort by a serious long-time TRS-80 tinkerer and CoCo
enthusiast. Both venues an effort of people with far better things to do
than resort to the practices you've been so fond to state as fact when
they're far from it.

Going back to Sockmaster's Matrix screen demo... I tried it on my CoCo 3. It
is a very good rendition of the falling code seen on the movies. It is such
a small and elegant program, can't wait to showcase it to my Windoze nutty
friends. Don't know how it shows up on an emulator though and probably never
will, as long as I have the real CoCo 3 plugged in and ready to go :-)
