Ricky Beam notes (regarding a possible 17MB MM/1): >It doesn't really matter what the CPU can do, the hardware bus is set with >a 24bit address and 16 bit data paths. 16 Meg is the max for the system. With the 68340 (or even a 68306) you have a 24-bit bus, but the chip selects are based on a 32 bit address space. Thus, the largest single memory block is 16MB (due to the # of address lines on the bus), but you could address as many of these blocks as you have chip selects (e.g. by running a "flying wire" from the chip select pin to the memory).
