What Philips wants is to create a new consumer electronic atatchment to
the Video equipment. VIS has been in the marketplace for a while and now I
saw Pioneer LD-I type of device being sold at Tandy owned Video Concepts.
Also, I received in the mail a Comp-USA catalog and on the front inside is a
full page color ad for Philips CD-I. If not a 'complete' PC type system, at
least a PC type store is selling them!!! This will cause Super NES and Sega
a lot of worry in this Xmas season. Now if only MM/1 systems could create
CD-I software... I thought that that was one of IMS' selling points?
