This is entirely possible using a Multipak, and is exactly the
configuration I used when writing the "cchdsasi" patch for the Disto
SASI driver.  Works just fine, as long as you do have sufficient system
RAM available, and the MPI.

Sorry, Chris, but this is NOT true.  The stock DISTO drivers _did_
include slot switching, as did the "cchdsasi" patch, and "scsi47.ar"
replacement drivers.  But there _was_ a different patch posted in one of
the databases that _removed_ the slot switching code; however, I don't
think it got much circulation.  The initial release of Matthew
Thompson's SCSI System driver also omitted slot switching, but newer
versions do include it.
