Subj: Radio Resistor's Bulletin - articles, etc. wanted.

Radio Resistor's Bulletin, a forum for the discussion of what ails
non-commercial radio in the US and beyond, is soliciting articles and
information for its next issue - #8.

Over the next few weeks I'll be trying to pull the next one together
and, as always, I'll be relying heavily on supporters and readers to make it
happen. **The Bulletin needs articles and information.**

Some ideas? I'd like a piece about goings on north of the boarder -
Canadian college or alternative (Co-Op Radio, Vancouver??) radio or
low-power licensing by the CRTC or even something on the state of the CBC.
I know there has been talk in some quarters about underwriting and just
how far US non-comms can push an underwriting announcement before it
becomes a commercial. How about the myth of "liberal" bias on NPR?
How about an update on all those micro cases pending with the FCC and
in the courts? Commentaries and observations are welcome too.
Or better yet you tell me what you want to write about...

As always ideas, information, letters, and even art work will be greatly
appreciated.

Let's say the deadline is the end of the month (6/30) and that
the Bulletin will come together by mid-July.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Bulletin the last issue
(still available on paper or by e-mail) featured stories on London's
all-women station Brazen Radio, KUNM-FM, Albuquerque, and the threat of
local conservative activists, a personal piece on the more subltle mission
of college radio, Rachel Goodman's "Arguing With Money:It talks, you
listen",
thoughts from Stepehn Dunifer of Radio Free Berkeley and more.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Frank Haulgren
