An important message for everyone plannning to attend the 6th
World Conference of Community Radio broadcasters (AMARC 6) in
Dakar, Senegal from January 23-29, 1994:

      A special radio station will be set up during the AMARC
conference. Radio du Monde, which will be located at the
conference site, will broadcast to the entire city of Dakar
(population 1.5 million) from 6:00 AM to midnight every day.
*You* are invited to be part of the station!

How?
      - By bringing music
      - By bringing cassettes of your best radio programs
      - By preparing programs for live broadcast on Radio du Monde

What kind of programs?

      Radio du Monde will be an experimental station with
programming that reflects the diversity of community radio around
the world. Programming can include radio art, live and recorded
radio theatre, music from Africa and the world, coverage of the
conference and discussion with participants, live music, local
and international news, spotlight on Senegalese culture and
society.... Have another idea? Let us know!

      While Senegal's two official languages are French and Wolof,
programs are welcome in any language. Normally, longer programs
in a language other than French or Wolof, should have at least
60% music.
