Hi there. Just got Endnote 2 Plus for Windows and it's working great, except for one little thing. In order to import a database from another format via tab-delimited format, I had to temporarily replace the carriage returns in my notes field with a special sequence (since carriage returns separate individual records and can't be used within a field in tab-delimited format). After successfully importing the database, I would now like to do a find/replace on the special sequence, translating them back into carriage returns. According to the EndNote manual, I should be able to do this with the Change Text command, using Ctrl-Enter to enter a carriage return (p.101). Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work -- Ctrl-Enter appears to have no effect at all (i.e. no character appears in the "change to" field to indicate a carriage return and, if I proceed with the "change text" command, the found text is either deleted (if I only hit ctrl-enter) or repalced with whatever other text I entered but no carriage return). Am I missing something or is this a bug? Thanks! Noah Noah D. Zatz Science & Technology Studies Cornell University Ithaca, New York ndz1@cornell.edu (607) 256-4350
