Hello Charles,

Papyrus does not have an Export option as such. You use the standard
bibliography creation option, LIST (preceeded, if the references are not
numerically consecutive, by the SEARCH or GROUP options to collect the
reference set together). In LIST, specify the format definition which
tells Papyrus how EndNote wants the references to look. For some transfers,
you would need to create an appropriate format definition yourself, but
for transfer to EndNote, you can use the REFER format definition, which you
will find on the Import Formats Library, IMPORT.FLB. (It's here because
Papyrus expects that everyone will want to change from EndNote to Papyrus,
but although it will ask you if you really want to use an "Import" format
definition for output, it will allow you to do it after you have replied that
you do!). You then import the refs into EndNote using its Refer style. I've
not done this myself, but it was tried by a user here who wanted to change
over to a MAC, and he was very satisfied with the result.

It would be improper of me to attempt to promote Papyrus, a rival bibliography
management package, on a list devoted to EndNote, and this message is not
intended to do so. However, reading over the past months the many queries
about format conversion software, it seemed to me that Papyrus' format
definition capability, which is exceedingly flexible, could have been used
to solve many of the problems. So, any user who has a reference format
conversion requirement: IF the conversion software currently available
to you cannot cope; and IF you are running on DOS or can include a DOS
stage in your transfer to MAC EndNote; and IF you have access to Papyrus (eg,
because your department or site has an appropriate licence); then you
might like to consider using Papyrus as an intermediary between your data
source and EndNote. OK, so that third IF makes things more difficult, but
