I agree in principle with Greg's comments that EndNote might be used by some people in ways for which it was not designed, and that problems which occur in such instances may not be a big concern to most of us However, I do not think the database capabilities of EndNote fit in the category of a novel use for EndNote. "Improved bibliographic database capabilities" were one of the selling points of EndNote Plus over EndNote, if I remember well. Furthermore, you can't take advantage of good insertion and formatting capabilities if you can't manage your references. These tasks go hand in hand. Mind you, I do not mean that EndNote Plus is not a good database manager. Indeed I am very happy with the win this area + would benefit most users, not just a minority. I have made multiple suggestions to Avi in the past, and hope some new functions (and improvements for existing functions) will show up in a new version soon. Denis Chabot
