Hi,
	I'm a new teacher, and have be an on-call substitute during the
fall. I will be substituting during the second half of this year for a
teacher on sabatical.  I am committed to the infusion of calculator
technology and physical models (manipulatives), and application types
of projects.  I will be teaching beginning Algebra, Algebra I, and
Geometry in a suburban high school.
	1) With respect to calculator technology
		a) What topics cry out for calculators?
		b) What types of activities work best?
		c) What types of activities do not seem to work well?
	2) With respect to the use of physical models (manipulatives)
		a) Which ones seem to clarify otherwise difficult concepts?
		b) When budgets are limited, what kinds of manipulates
		    can the students create for themselves?
	3) With respect to applications
		a) What are some of your favorites, and why?

topics, please share your ideas.
