How do you deal (using this policy) with students whose teachers teach
via moo, irc, or email? I've taught with these before, and will be
teaching a course entirely via the computer in the fall of 1996. Is
the rule flexible enough to make a distinction for students whose
schoolwork includes these tools?

As an aside, our computer committee enacted a chain mail policy which
they ultimately had to modify when it was pointed out that that
replying and forwarding email was a violation, which would have meant
that I would have been violating the usage policy by responding to
this list.
