We are thinking of going to a block schedule next year. We will
have 4 classes each day (we will teach 3) with A and B days and A and B weeks
We should have 15 classes per six weeks grading period. I will be teaching
five classes of physics I and one class of physics II. The science teachers
seem to all support this but somewhere in the district there is some
opposition.
Have any of you had any experience in this type of block? I can
think of several advantages (1 1/2 hours would be nice for lab). Do
you have any ideas (really "ammunition" to be given to the principal
(who supports this) to use in trying to get this pass the board).
In particular if you use this has it affected you standardized test
scores.
I would also welcome any negative comments any of you might have.
