Our county had two schools piloted using computers in the
classroom this past school year, and interactive physics is one
of the basic softwares used. In the fall, all our 23 high
schools will be equiped with 10 or 20 Mac computers. Also our county
offers training and curriculum development for all physics
teachers, by June 17, I would
have attended 40 hours of training with pay. During these 40
hours, All of us tried out the labs using ULI boxes and probes,
as well as Interactive physics II, and many of the Wings
Explorer simulation program. Each team of two developed one
unit.I just completed the Energy unit. Under Computer related
activities, students will be asked to work on Physics
interaction # 14, Energy in the Spring. They are to follow the
interactive physics workbook, perform the simulation, do
calculations and answer question., I then wrote
procedure for a lab identical to interaction # 14 in which
students will use the motion detector to do real time data
collection and analysis.
Sorry I missed Kins Dominion Day. I guess the next time we
meet will be VIP meeting in the Fall.
