Quality management is also moving up to a higher plane in manufacturing with the increases in speed and closer tolerances. Often now the only way to measure what's going on is by on-board artificial intelligence, with automatic control systems to adjust as necessary. But this is moving quality into a different field of expertise. Quality management truly is management - we can not always DO quality control like we used to! This is surely a good thing???
