Dear List members,

I have recently joined the list because of my involvement in a =
transnational project funded by the EC Leonardo da Vinci programme, =
called ELITE.
=20
The project has been assessing the economic impact of different =
types/systems of training undertaken in SMEs, and its objective is to =
determine te optimum mix of distance training and human support, and to =
examine whether different forms of delivery are more appropriate for =
different training needs, looking at the benefits of tutorial and =
company mentor support within exisiting and emerging forms of open and =
flexible learning.

As part of the project, we are currently organising the conference to =
take place on 25/26 November 1998 in Plymouth UK, where the cost benefit =
analysis model, developed through the qualitative and quantitative =
research during the project, will be presented, together with other =
related papers.
